Abbey Thorne

Leading the children and families ministry at Papanui Baptist is a great honour. This being the place where I discovered my own faith in my teenage years, it is exciting to now be a part of seeing our young people journey through their own faith too. Part of my role also is to connect with our families and to provide a warm and welcoming place for families to worship with their children. ​

I am a mum of three beautiful children. I am on the journey to completing my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education). Working with children is a big passion of mine, and I am excited to have the opportunity to use the skills and knowledge that I have learned through my studies in the children’s programmes that we run.
